Oranges
Citrus fruits, like oranges, are acidic and can irritate the stomach lining, worsening diarrhea symptoms. The high acid content in oranges can increase stomach acidity and lead to discomfort, especially for those already suffering from a sensitive stomach due to diarrhea. Avoiding acidic fruits is best to allow the digestive system to recover.
Pineapples
Pineapples contain a combination of acidity and an enzyme called bromelain, which can irritate and stimulate the digestive system during periods of diarrhea. While bromelain has been touted for its digestive benefits, it can exacerbate symptoms in the context of diarrhea by increasing bowel movements and irritating the digestive tract.[6]
